Early life and career[edit]

Johnson was born in Bakersfield, California on July 6, 1993. Better known by his stage name Montana Montana Montana, he is an American hiphop recording music artist. He grew up in the South West part of Bakersfield, in the Nogal and Pinon Springs Apartments, also known as 925. He attended WEST High School in Bakersfield. He was first known as Pezzy Montana, a nickname granted to him from his older brother Harlem, which he incorporated into part of his stage name but realized that the name sounded too similar to French Montana. He then changed his handle to Montana Montana Montana [2][user-generated source?]

The phrase "Really Not a Rapper" comes from the fact that Montana never had an interest to pursue a rap as a career growing up, but after some legal troubles with the Law, he states he soon began using music as a form of therapy[3][non-primary source needed]

Montana Montana Montana signed a record deal with American rapper J-Diggs co-CEO of the late Mac Dre's Thizz Entertainment. Vallejo-based "T- Team Records/ City Hall Records" (TTEAM LLC). Montana also released mixtapes called Really Not a Rapper best of: Vol. 1 and Pezzy Montana. He made a guest performance among several rappers on Rap Bay compilation with single "World Wide Mob", featuring Messy Marv, Joe Blow, Fed X, and Ap.9 , which peaked on the Billboard Hot 100, The album debuted on the Billboard 200, selling 25,000 plus copies.[citation needed]

2015: Lovie Johnson[edit]

September , 2014, several months later, Montana Montana Montana released his second album, titled "Lovie Johnson", once again on City Hall Records. The album's first single was "Gimmie the Loot" featuring Joe Blow, which was produced by Jay GP bangz. The album's second single is "Aye Yo!", which was produced by Droop-E, Son of the Vallejo rapper E-40. The album's guest lists includes Joe Blow, Sleep Dank, Mistah F.A.B., Jay Aubrey , and Paige Raymond. The album debuted on the Billboard 200, selling 20,000 plus copies.[citation needed]

2016: "Guest Appearance"[edit]

Montana Montana Montana started the year 2016 releasing mixtape/album "Really Not a Rapper 500" The free project included features from 2nd Nature and J-Diggs. He also made numerous guest appearances on tracks collaborating on noticeable albums and singles by other recording artists since he was signed, like J-Diggs, Forrest Skunk, D.J. Ghost & Philthy Rich. But the most noticed tracks he made a guest appearance on was "Make it work " by Doomp Tha Hazzard, also featuring J-Diggs, which appears on his "Stay Focus" album. Montana Montana Montana and Doomp tha Hazzard have collaborated once before on a song called Active featuring 2nd Nature.[citation needed]

2016: Savage Tycoon[edit]

Montana Montana Montana collaborated with King Chucky and confirmed that his third album will be called, Savage Tycoon. It was released February , 2016. The first official remix single, "Breaker 2" featuring J-Diggs and Forrest Skunk, became Montana's highest charting single, peaking on the Billboard 100. The second official single is "Savage Tycoon". Both tracks are produced by Reverse Beatz. The third single is "In the Air" featuring Digla Baby and T.Davis. The Savage Tycoon album features artists like Philthy Rich, Yukmouth, D-Lo, J-Diggs, Forrest Skunk, Sr1, Digla Baby & T.Davis. The album debuted on the Billboard 200, selling 26,000 plus copies, becoming the rapper's most successful album so far. He promoted the album with his first concert tour, the Friday nights life Tour.[citation needed]

2016: Maclafornia[edit]

For his fourth album still on City Hall Records he reunited with Sleep Dank after 2 years, to make the R&B styled friendly single known as Just Wanna. The song is produced by Ben b. Montana released the single "Louie shade" with Sleep Dank featuring Da' Unda' Dogg and "Roll with Me" featuring Bully Wiz of THIZZ-Latin which peaked on the Billboard Hot 100, The album debuted on the Billboard 200, selling 20,000 plus copies.[citation needed]

Controversy[edit]

Love Johnson was booked Jan. 31 charged with attempted kidnapping, battery and burglary. Bail was set at $30,632 . He bailed his self out the next day with the money that was left on his property.[13][14][non-primary source needed]

Johnson served time in the High Desert State Penitentiary having been sentenced to six years after pleading guilty to criminal charges. He was released early 2013. On October 19, 2014, Pezzy Montana officially changed his name to "Montana Montana Montana."
