Mor Chhainha Bhuinya 2 is a superhit film from 2024 in Chhattisgarhi. The film written and directed by Satish Jain is a remake or spiritual sequel of Mor Chhainha Bhuinya (2000). After 23 years, writer and director Satish Jain, who had directed Mor Chhainha Bhuinya, decided to make a sequel, Mor Chhainha Bhuinya 2. He returned as writer and director of the new film that was released on 24 May 2024. The lead characters in the new film play the same role as the original, but the new film's setting is different.[3][4]
The film 'Mor Chhainha Bhuinya 2' stars Mann Qureshi, Elsa Ghosh, Deepak Sahu, and Diksha Jaiswal in the lead. It is the first sequel film to be made in Chhollywood.
Premise
The film is about two brothers, Uday and Kartik, who grow up together in Chhattisgarh. There is always a clash between them with differences in their political ideologies, but the love for each other in their hearts is still strong. One day, however, they find themselves pitted against each other, which puts them in a dilemma to choose between their love or their ideology.

Production
Development
Satish Jain, who had written and directed the previous installment, has also produced the new film. He wrote the story, lyrics, dialogues, and also directed the new movie. The film's official trailer was launched on 17 May 2024.[6] Babla Bagchi, the music director of the original, was also retained for the sequel.
Filming
Principal photography of the film commenced in October 2023.[7]

Box office
The film 'Mor Chhainha Bhuinya 2' ran to packed houses for over two months across Chhattisgarh and earned ₹9.7 crore nett in India. The film has made ₹1.30 crore additionally, for a total gross of ₹11.0 crore.[9]
Sequel
After the success of Mor Chhainha Bhuinya 2, Satish Jain announced the making of Mor Chhainha Bhuinya 3 through an Instagram post, which is supposed to be released on 16 May 2025.[10]
