Mortgauge.ca is a Canadian technology platform for current or future homeowners in Canada that simplifies the mortgage process and supports users every step of the way on their real estate journey.
Mortgauge was founded in 2018 by Alex Leduc and is based in the Greater Toronto Area. It started out as a platform where people could compare mortgage options using proprietary algorithms and custom tools like the first-time home buyer incentive calculator. Mortgauge relaunched in July 2020[1] after making substantial changes to the platform for a better user experience and increased product functionality.
The platform is free to use for Canadians and the company is a licensed mortgage brokerage in Ontario (#13263) and British Columbia (X301147).
Media
Mortgauge was first publicly recognized by the Toronto Star in October 2019 for its First-Time Home Buyer Incentive Calculator.[2] The FTHBI calculator was the first tool to help Canadians assess potential interest savings through the program, while highlighting the foregone equity gains on a home.
Mortgauge also manages their own media page where they publish articles and other educational materials that specifically address the Canadian real estate sector.
