Moses Boyd is a British drummer, producer, composer and ex-BBC 1Xtra resident DJ, based in London
Career[edit]
A member of the London jazz scene,[1] Boyd has released his solo EPs – Footsteps Of Our Fathers (2015), Rye Lane Shuffle (2016), Time & Space (2016), Absolute Zero (2017) and Displaced Diaspora (2018) & debut album Dark Matter (2020) through his own Exodus record label.[citation needed]
2016's Rye Lane Shuffle was mixed by Floating Points and Four Tet. [2] He has collaborated with Obongjayar, Ed Motta, Little Simz, Lonnie Liston Smith, Zara McFarlane, Yazmin Lacey, Theon Cross, Sons of Kemet, DJ Lag, the last of which appeared on Beyonce's soundtrack for The Lion King.[citation needed]
Alongside saxophonist Binker Golding, he has recorded three albums: Dem Ones (2015), Journey To The Mountain Of Forever (2017) and Alive In The East? (2018), which has been a double MOBO,[3] and Jazz FM Award winner.[4]
