Mother Fungus is an American rock band formed in 2020 in Concord, Massachusetts.[1] The band's current lineup consists of Kane Two Feathers, Isaac Richmond, and Scott Doe. They have released one studio album and tour around New England.
History
Formation, Living Oblivion
The band was formed during the 2020 COVID pandemic. Kane used the free time during the pandemic to learn guitar and set out to form a band. He and Isaac were in the same contagion bubble and both wanted to pursue this goal together. The name is a reference to a vision Kane had about a large organic temple called "The Mother Fungus". It is also a nod to his mother who passed away in 2018. The band has stated that environmentalism and naturalism are key ideals for them.[1]
The band's first full-length album, Living Oblivion, was released on July 14, 2023.[1]
