Move It is a consumer electronic device created by Canada-based company, Eggplant Technologies.[1] The device was launched on April 13, 2015 through Indiegogo and is a mobile-connected personal gym that allows users to access live trainers and personal workouts.[2] The Move It uses smart technology and is connected to a mobile app that enables users to store their data in the cloud, count calories, and track their fitness progress.[3] It has the capability to relay information from the fitness device using smart sensors.[4]

Product[edit]

The compact device consists of four workout tools: jump rope, resistance band, ab wheel, and a pushup stand. The handles of the device include smart detectable tension sensors like technology found in digital luggage sensors. The fitness device can determine your progress while working out, and can fix incorrect movements.[3] The iOS/Android available app that is available for free includes live trainers, CrossFit training videos, real-time workout buddies, and challenges.

They raised over 366% of their campaign goal.[2] Also at Global Sources Startup Launchpad, the company was awarded "Most Promising Electronic Gadgets", and "Most Promising Startups".[5] It was announced by the CEO that they were looking to Xiao Mi as a strategic investor.[6] Move It was recently featured in CES 2017.

Collaborations[edit]

Notable collaborations by the company include JuJu Chan, Bomber Heung, and world-record holder, George Hood.
