Muaaz Shakeel (born June 24, 1997)[1] is an American YouTuber, influencer, and media personality known professionally as Muaaz. He currently boasts over 26 million views on his YouTube channel since its creation in 2008.[2]
Early Life
Shakeel was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin[3] and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He graduated in May 2019 receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems.[4]
Career
According to a 2017 article done by The Huffington Post, Shakeel had seen growth in the tens of thousands from the years of 2016–2017.[5] Through creating technological tutorials and building his influence over the years, Shakeel was able to successfully incorporate gaming into his tech-oriented content, now having categorized himself under the intersection of technology, gaming, and social media.[6] The videos produced by Shakeel are heavily tailored toward aspiring YouTube creators or Twitch Streamers that are looking to build their own influence through the strategic use of online video and social media.[7]
