Muhammad Akram Gizabi (Dari: محمد اکرم گیزابی) is a Hazara journalist, political activist, and freelance writer from Afghanistan. He is the founder of the Civil Movement party of Afghanistan and the current chairman of the World Hazara Council. He previously worked for the Voice of America.[1]
Early life[edit]
Muhammad Akram Gizabi is from Chindawol, Kabul.[clarification needed] His origin is that of the people of Gizab, Uruzgan, whose families were forced to leave and migrate from their ancestral homeland during the genocide of the Hazaras and the usurpation of the lands of the Hazara people under Abdur Rahman.[1]
World Hazara Council[edit]
Muhammad Akram Gizabi was elected as the president of the World Hazara Council for two years in 2016. Before him, this council was chaired by Muhammad Tahir Sharan.[1][2]
