Muhammad Aslam Mughal

Muhammad Aslam Mughal was born on 11 December 1941 in Langrewali village of Sialkot, British India and died on 09 June 2020 at the age of 79 years, in Langrewali. He was famous for his social and political activities. Politically he was with PML-N and was strong critics of the Pakistani establishment for destabilizing activities against the democratic and political powers. He was author and journalist. His famous work is the history of Chugtai Mughal family of Langrewali and compiled his work as a book “Pechan”

Early Life: He finished his technical training course from Ghandhara Industry limited Karachi and started his job in irrigation department as pump operator in Nandipur hydro project, Gujranwala from 1957 to 1961. He continued his work under different departments and was promoted as mechanical foremen in Machinery Pool organization, Faisalabad from 1967 to 1983. He was sent to Nasiriyah, Iraq as Sight engineer and deputy project manager for Nasiriya project. He returned to Pakistan and work as line foremen in Sialkot cantonment from 1986 until his retirement in 2001.

Political Career: he remained politically active throughout his career and on many occasions raised his voice for amendment of labor law. He was also selected as general sectary of water and power Development Corporation of Pakistan (WAPDA). He fought for the rights of trade unions and on many occasion won valuable rights for the labor.[citation needed]

He was also founder of the Chugtai Research Academy of Sialkot under its current presedent Mossadaq Chughtai
