Muhammad Bin Mutahar Al Gashan (Arabic: محمد بن مطهر الغشم ) (1863 – 13 September 1936)(1280 – 27 Jumada al-Thaniyah 1355AH) is a Muslim scholar,Islamic jurist“ faqih” and Zaidi, Yemeni legal Judge. He was born in the continent, Dhamar. He learned from the elders of his time. He was emigrated to the AL-Qafla and contacted Muhammad bin Yahya Hamid ad-Din, and took him over Al-Soudah. Then Imam Yahya assigned him to teach in Jableh. He taught and had and a decision was made for him from the endowments of that side and before that he was a teacher in Al-Sudha. He has books on asceticism, including an explanation of the book "The Treasure of the Lost" (Kanz Alrushad)  by Imam Al-Hadi Izz al-Din.[1][2]

Biography[edit]

He is Muhammad bin Mutahar bin Ali bin Ahmed bin Hassan bin Ali bin Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Yusuf bin Ahmed bin Ali bin Isa Al-Ghashem. He was born in year 1280 AH in the migration of Anas which called Al-Qarah the continent of the Yemen Eyalet.

He was taken from Yahya Ben Mohsin Al-Ansi in Dhamar then he went to the

Al-Qaflah and walked to Imam AL-Mansur Ballah Mohammed bin Yahya Hamid Al-Din with his brother Ahmed, he ordered him to teach in Sudah Shutb. His brother died in the year 1319 AH /1901AD.[2]

Then Imam Yahya assigned him to teach in Jableh, so he worked as a teacher, and a decision was made for him from the endowments of that authority. He was more inhabited by the University of Jableh to teach.Al-Gasham died in the city of Jableh in Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen .
