Mundlana is a village in District Haridwar in Uttarakhand, India. It has a population of about 7,626. The pin code of the area is 247656. The nearest police station is in Manglaur. This village is one of the biggest villages in the Haridwar. [1] It is one of many Gurjar-dominated villages in the district.
History
The village was settled by Ratanraj Chauhan of Dapa gotra of the Gurjar caste in the mid-17th century. He was a descendant of Deepraj Chauhan, brother of the infamous Gurjar king of Delhi Prithviraj Chauhan. Earlier, the surrounding area was populated by Muslim Rajputs who were defeated by the men of Ratanraj Chauhan; his descendants still live in the village to this day.
