Muni is a fictional character in the Muni. He first appeared in the 2007 Tamil film Muni film franchise. The character was created by the Tamil film actor and producer Raghava Lawrence and was portrayed by Rajkiran.
In the film, he is a poor and kind-hearted man who lives with a colony of slums, but he and his daughter were killed by his friend and an MLA named Marakka Dhandapani who cheats him in a Local Elections. His daughter's body was only put on the road and Muni's body was taken to the MLA's old Guest house (where Ganesh, his wife and his family lives) into the Ganesh's room and burnt alive until death. Until death, his body becomes a skeletal size. They took the skeletons and thrown into the river. But Muni's ghost comes and lives in the same house to avenge him, and then he possessed Ganesh's body too, to take revenge.

Muni's character was created by the Tamil film actor and director Raghava Lawrence. The story of this character was created by himself. This character was portrayed by Rajkiran who was acting in the Tamil film Kireedam. He agreed to act as a ghost character in this film.

And burnt him alive in the Ganesh's home, and later his spirit comes and lives in the same house in the Ganesh's room. When Ganesh and his new family live in the house, Ganesh takes the room with his wife. He doesn't know that the room is haunted by the ghost of Muni.
When Ganesh (Raghava Lawrence) sees the necklace of Muni he decided to wear it. And when Muni's spirit came to possess him, unfortunately his wife Priya (Vedhika) came and put the Hanuman Chalisa necklace on his neck. But soon, Muni's spirit does not enter his body.
But when he and his wife remove the Hanuman Chalisa necklace on the neck to sleep, then Muni's spirit entered his body.
