Nick Russel Oniot was a 18 years old Filipino college student of Adamson University who was robbed and stabbed multiple times and killed on his way home in Barangay Central Signal Village in Taguig on the night of October 14, 2016.[1][2] In an interview, Renato Oniot, the father of Nick Russel told that after his son laid in rest, he will search for those who watched his son to die and told he can’t accept that.[3]

Crime[edit]

Oniot was on his way home when the incident happened. He was assailed by two thieves. The first thief forcibly tried to grab his bagpack. Oniot held on to the bagpack, which drew a second assailant and repeatedly stab him to death. The bagpack contain Php 12,000 cash for his school tuition fee, a mobile cellphone and drawing materials. The crime was captured by a CCTV camera.[4] The two assailant was identified as Marvin Bernardo (aged 39) and Reynaldo Clave (aged 29). Bernardo was killed Sunday night after allegedly causing a commotion during his transfer to the jail of the Taguig police headquarters.[5] Another suspect, Clave, died from a medical complexity on October 23.[6]
