myHQ is an Indian company catering to the independent workforce of entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, freelancers and startups looking for flexible coworking[2] options through its visit based coworking model. Founded by two IIT Delhi graduates, Utkarsh Kawatra and Vinayak Agrawal, myHQ workspaces aims to utilise existing infrastructure in urban cities to provide versatile workspace[3] zones to its users through its coworking and work cafe collaborations. The coworking subscription based service company is currently operating out of more than 70+ workspaces in Delhi NCR. According to media reports[4], it soon plans to pan out in Mumbai and Bangalore.
History
Started in 2016, myHQ’s first work cafe collaboration was with cafes in South Delhi. Over the last couple of years, the company has collaborated with more than 80 spaces in Delhi NCR and has converted them into cohesive work spaces. Some of these include names like OYO Rooms[5], Vatika Business Centre[6], The Beer Cafe, Tippling and Darzi Bar and Kitchen.
Funding
myHQ has raised a total of $600K in funding over two rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Jan 2018. The round was led by a clutch of angel investors along with Singapore Angel Network, GEMBA Capital and LetsVenture. Startup entrepreneurs like Anupam Mittal (founder Shaadi.com), Sachin Bhatia( Cofounder TrulyMadly), Nitish Mittersain of Nazara Tech participated in the round[7].[8][9]
In July 2016, myHQ raised $100,000 in funding from Outbox Ventures and friends and family.
In 2017, Facebook picked six Indian startups for its early-stage startup mentorship program called FbStart Program and myHQ was one of them. It received credits up to $40,000 and free tools and services from Facebook and its more than 30 partners.[10][11]
Services
myHQ converts spaces which is usually under utilised in their day time into active workspaces, hence giving users an option to choose from diverse work cafes and co-working spaces. The myHQ community currently houses 8000+ members which mostly comprises of startups, freelancers, entrepreneurs and bloggers looking for an easy and convenient workspace solution.
With the membership pass, a customer at myHQ gets to access any of their operating workspaces with a single pass. There’s free wifi, stationery and concierge services available at all myHQ spaces. Along with the membership pass, a user gets free food credits which are redeemable at myHQ work cafes[12]. Being a part of the community makes a user eligible to multiple community benefits including discounted services with numerous brands and invites to frequent workshops, seminars and community engagement events.[13]
The myHQ app lets one browse through nearest workspaces, book them and review them. There is also on-app access to myHQ chat board connecting to a network of fellow community members[14][15]
Awards and Recognition
In November 2017, myHQ was recognised as one of the 50 Coolest Coworking Spaces Across India by Entrepreneur Magazine[16]
