MySwimPro is a mobile app which offers swimming and strength training plans, technique videos, workouts and analytics.[1][2] MySwimPro uses a freemium model, with some features only available in the paid subscription plan.[3] The service was launched in 2015 by Adam Oxner,[4] Michael Allon and Fares Ksebati [5] and is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.[6] MySwimPro is available to download on iOS and Android smartphones, and syncs with Apple and Garmin watches.[7][8]

    Overview[edit]

MySwimPro records data for a user's swimming or dryland activities which then can be shared with the user's followers or shared publicly. An activity's recorded information may include total distance, sets completed, pace, timing (total) and heart rate. Activities can be recorded using the mobile app or compatible third parties. On its launch in 2015, MySwimPro provided swim workouts only. In 2019, the app reached 1 million downloads and has been translated into 9 languages.[9] In 2020, MySwimPro added strength training (called dryland training) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.[10]

    Awards[edit]

    • 2016 Apple Watch App of the Year.[11]
    • 2017 Wareable top wimming apps for Apple Watch Series 2.[12]
    • 2020, Prevention included MySwimPro in its list of the 20 Best Health Apps.[13]
    • 2021, Greatist named MySwimPro among its 30 best workout apps.[14]

    Integrations[edit]

MySwimPro is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 3 and up. It also syncs with the Apple Health, Google Fit app and Strava. The app is also compatible with some Garmin smartwatches via Garmin Sync and the Garmin Connect IQ App.[15]
