My Self is a single by YMA4 released September 27, 2017 from their mixtape B.F.F Is Ready. The song's production was handled by Young Mahasi. Is one of the best mixtape songs from the mixtape and one of the best mixtape song of 2017 according to the duo.
Production and recordings[edit]
Around September 2017 Young Mahasi's little brother known as Silver Saint aka Tee, downloaded the instrumental and bring it to Young Mahasi's attention. Young Mahasi wrote the chorus and within 30 minutes he recorded the whole song without verses. The song before it was even done it was sent to A4 by Young Mahasi. A4 went to South-Side Studios the same day he received the song to write and complete the production of the song with Young Mahasi. The song was recorded using Wiz Khalifa's No Sleep instrumentals and was also shared with Wiz Khalifa on twitter by the duo. The song uses production's one of the biggest plug-in Auto-Tune as a backup.
