Mystery Case Files: Key to Ravenhearst is the twelfth game in the casual Adventure Game series Mystery Case Files published by Big Fish Games. It’s the first game in the series to be developed by Eipix Entertainment and the fourth part of the Ravenhearst Saga.[1][2]
Story
The Ravenhearst manor was rebuilt and the Queen asks the Master Detective to go to the estate to inspect the situation and meet the agent Barker that has a package for them. The package is sent by Alister Dalimar and it’s a puzzle box where he explains his plan at each new complete puzzle and gives items to the detective to send him/her closer to his trap.
Agent Barker was killed by being dropped down a cliff when the detective followed him through the old Victor’s cottage. After that, he/she searches another way to enter the manor. In passing by a barricade with an axe and passing the gate, the detective discovers that the new manor is a museum about the Dalimar family, the persons Charles kidnapped. But a strange woman tries to stop his/her investigation and she seems to control the architect of this new manor, a man called Benedict Caldwell that seems to not control all his mind. His wife puts the detective outside and he/she goes to the lighthouse where Alister uses the box to show that a woman that was looking for what happened in the manor was killed by one person that worked for him. The detective discovers that the woman is Lena, the sister of Benedict that was killed by the wife of her brother, Alister explains that he torments her soul as part of his plan.
The detective goes to the beach of the cliff where he/she discovers a wrecked ship, Alister uses the box to show that the wife of Benedict killed the captain and transported his body to the manor with the cable car. He/she decides to use it to go to the manor, the detective enters in a cave behind the manor where he/she discovers a cave where Benedict’s wife puts corpses in tubes and sends them to a secret place. In entering in the manor, the detective discovers metal doors with an opening for objects. Benedict looks through the eye hole of the door to check, as he is not sure the detective is real, he asks him/her to search notes that he wrote when he was lucid.
After that, the detective shows him the notes, Benedict asks if his sister is still in the manor and asks to find her. He/she finds solid proof that his wife killed his sister. After he learns that, Benedict decides to help the detective to destroy the machine he created for Alister on order of his wife. But she arrives at the same moment and shows that she has twin sisters and that they work for Alister, they control Benedict and send him in the secret levels by an elevator.
By searching the manor, the detective discovers that the twins are the Sommerset sisters and that Charles is their father. He/she finds the code to access the lower levels where he/she finds corpses in tubes for the experiment of immortality.
