NONE collective is an Italian artistic collective based in Rome, founded by Gregorio De Luca Comandini (Roma, 1983), Mauro Pace (Erice, TP, 1983), Saverio Villirillo (Crotone, 1983).

From 2013 to today, the Collective has developed transmedial projects that move between the boundaries of art, design and technological research. These projects focus on the contemporary condition of coexistence with the digital society, through immersive experiences and installations that interpret the eternal problems of humanity.[1]

Biography

Between 2014 and 2018, NONE collective was called to realize the Italian Pavilion of Cannes Film Festival, by Istituto Luce Cinecittà, Cannes (Fr) with site-specific installations "Caleidoscopio" (2015), "Universo Elegante"[2](2016), "The Brilliant Side Of Us"[3] (2017), "Meraviglia!"[4](2018).

In 2016, NONE collective presented the interactive installation Deep Dream,[5] set up at MAXXI, the National Museum of XXI Century Arts of Rome (IT), and selected for Digitalife - Romaeuropa Festival in Rome (IT).[6]

In 2017, GENESI[7], a site-specific installation, was selected by Romaeuropa Festival for Sala Santa Rita in Rome (IT). In 2018, Fondazione Romaeuropa selected this artwork for "La Festa di Roma" at Basilica di Sant'Anastasia al Palatino in Rome (IT). During the same year, the collective won the call by Comune di Firenze (IT) with Metabole,[8] a permanent installation for Palazzo di Giustizia - Florence.

During 2018, the artists were selected with "J3RR1. A planned torture (2018)[9] for: "Human+ Il futuro della nostra specie" | "Umano, Sovrumano"[10] curated by Valentino Catricalà at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome (IT), the 15th edition of 404 Festival,[11] The Festival of Art & Technology at Fukuoka Science Museum, (Japan), and "24/7 a wake up call for our non-stop world" curated by Sarah Cook at Somerset House in London (UK).[12]

The artists designed the exhibit Classico POP[13] and realized three site-specific installationss[14] with multimedia contents at Museo Nazionale Romano | Palazzo Massimo and Crypta Balbi in Rome thanks to Electa Mondadori and was called by Melissa for the site-specific installation The Brilliant Side Of Us[15] at Erastudio Apartment Gallery during Fuorisalone in Milan (IT). In the same year, the artistic collective was called in São Paulo to develop a site-specific project "NO STRATA"[16] at Farol Santander curated by MADAI ART.

In 2019, the artists conceived and designed the setting up of MIAC[17] Museo Italiano dell'Audiovisivo e del Cinema.[18] A new multimedia museum, interactive and immersive[19] in Rome entirely dedicated to moving images. Requested and financed by MiBACT, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism in Italy, MIAC is realized by Istituto Luce-Cinecittà.[20]

Today, the collective’s investigation concerns the unveiling of dynamics and mechanics imperceptible to human senses through the production of hyperobjects that, by spatial scale, time duration and formal structure-material, connect man in novel ways to nature and the surrounding physical environment. This includes Corpo Nero (2020), an hyperobject that reveals the fields of energies in which man is constantly immersed, but does not perceive, transposing them into the real sensitive form of sound, light and vibration.[21]
