Football West seasons

The 2021 Football West season was the second season since the establishment of the National Premier Leagues in Western Australia.

Pre-season changes[edit]

After the COVID interrupted (shortened) 2020 season, Football West re-instated a full season for the NPLW WA 2021 Season. This included a full home and away season (teams play each other three times), a pre-season Night Series, a Top 4 Cup competition and the re-instatement of the Women's State Cup competition.

Due to the disruptions to the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia,[1] Football West did not implement a system of promotion and relegation at the end of the 2020 season.
