nPerf is a Web service launched in 2014 that provides free analysis of Internet access performance parameters, such as connection data rate and latency.[1]

It is operated by France Hardware SARL, a French company founded in 2003 and based in Rue de Sèze, Lyon.[2]

The service, by connecting to a server, measures the download and upload data transmission speed, and the latency (ping) of an Internet connection.

The nPerf mobile app also allows you to carry out a comprehensive test, which also includes the loading speed of some Websites and YouTube videos in 360p, 720p and 1080p.[3]

Tests are run within the user's Web browser or within apps.

nPerf, similarly to what Speedtest.net does, "rewards" the fastest ISPs through the nPerf Awards, divided by country and type of connection (fixed or mobile).[4]
