Nada (thread)
Nada' is a string of threads used for tying knots. It can be made out of many different materials like cotton, linen, nylon, silk and other materials. Nada means drawstring used for pyjama/petticoat/salwar/underpants, or ‘tape’, the accurate English word for flat strings. It needs to be adjusted and knotted for a well-fitting bottoms. They are not elastic drawstrings.[1]
It needs to be pushed through a soft, often narrow opening. Usually a safety pin is used to push the nada through a narrow opening. It needs to be pushed till it reaches the other end of the opening. Then the safety pin can be removed and a knot can be made for convenience. Additionally it can also be used for tying any object.
