Nader Nader (born September 2, 1958) is a businessman, investor and philanthropist, mainly involved in the steel and real estate industries. He is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of City Palace Ltd[1], the development company of Evolution Tower in Moscow International Business Center. Nader is also a leading contractor for the largest enterprises of the Russian steel sector.
Early life and education
Born in 1958 in Homs, Syria, Nader moved with his family to the former USSR in 1962[2] where he attended school with in-depth study of English. In 1982, Nader graduated from Moscow Medicine Academy as a physician.
Career
For more than three decades, Nader has been involved in the steel and coal industry, focusing on the international ferroalloy sector, having acquired extensive expertise in Russian market. From 1985 to 1992, Nader served as the representative for Fercometal SA[3] in Moscow. In 1992, he became the General Director of Merz Merkur Stahlfinanz Anstalt[4], a well-established trading company for steel products. Nader remained in this position until 1998.
From 1997, Nader has been also involved in the real estate sector. His latest activities include the projects of ST Tower[5] and Evolution Tower[6], two landmark skyscrapers in Moscow’s International Business Centre. Since 2010, Nader served as the Chairman of the Board of City Palace Ltd[7], the development company for Evolution Tower.
Philanthropy
Nader supports the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East in Moscow. For his philanthropic work, Nader was awarded the Order of the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov (3rd degree).
Personal life
Nader is married to Olga Rubtsova. They have two children, a daughter, Stefania, and a son, Nader Manuel.
