Nadim M Nsouli
Nadim Marwan Nsouli (born 1969) is a Lebanese/British businessman and the Founder and Group Chairman of Inspired[1], a global group of premium schools.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Nadim M Nsouli was born in 1969, the middle son of Dr Marwan Nsouli and Mrs Ghada Arab. Dr Marwan Nsouli was a senior lawyer at the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC after which he was appointed as Vice Governor of the Lebanese Central Bank for 10 years. Nadim has two brothers, Samer and Karim, who are both hedge fund managers.
In 1991, Nsouli graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University. In 1994, he graduated with a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. He obtained an MBA with distinction from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, in 1997[2].
Career[edit]
Nsouli began his career in 1994 as a lawyer at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in New York. Later, he became a member of the Media and Telecommunications investment banking teams first of J.P. Morgan add link and then of Morgan Stanley in London.
He founded and managed Lago Ventures, a venture capital, before becoming the Head of The Gores Group in London[3], a special situations private equity fund based primarily in Los Angeles. Later, he became a Managing Director at Providence Equity Partners[4], a global private equity firm – a position he held until the year 2013. In 2013, Nsouli founded Inspired, a global group of premium schools. The group has grown rapidly by starting greenfield schools and buying premium schools around the world[5].
Personal Life[edit]
Nsouli is married to Simone and is the father of four children; Lyla, Zeyd, Aidan and Liv.
Nsouli's eldest daughter died from brain cancer on January 24, 2012. Nadim and Simone set up the Lyla Nsouli Foundation for Children's Brain Cancer Research in her memory.[6][7]. The organisation provides funding to various cancer research institutes [8]and states on its website that its objective is “to find a cure for Brain Cancer” and “to target the worst form of brain cancer – DIPG”.
Nsouli lives with his family in London, UK.
