Michael Turchin (born January 14, 1987) is an American painter of Pop Art portraits and a film actor. He and Lance Bass married on December 20, 2014.[1]
Biography[edit]
Michael Turchin is the son of Bobby and Stephanie Turchin of Miami Beach, Florida. His father was a general contractor and developer with the Turchin Companies of Miami Beach, responsible for the construction of more than a hundred major buildings in South Florida.[1]
Turchin graduated from Georgetown University and studied acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in Los Angeles.[1] Turchin regularly works as a painter of Pop Art. He had an exhibition of his own works in early 2014 in the CASS gallery in Tampa, Florida. He has also appeared as an actor in independent films, such as the 2013 comedy First Period, and in 2014's White Dwarf, a film that includes Bass and examines the career arcs of Hollywood stars.
Personal life[edit]
Turchin started dating singer Lance Bass in December 2011.[3] They became engaged in September 2013,[4] and were married in California on December 20, 2014. The ceremonial event was filmed and was televised in a special E! presentation: Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding that aired on February 5, 2015. Bass and Turchin were the first same-sex couple to exchange vows on cable television.[5]
