Nadir Baloch (born 3 March 1989) is a Pakistani professional boxer. Known as the ‘Hulk’, he is a tactical boxer with an aggressive approach.

Early life[edit]

For Nadir, the love of boxing began when he was still young, around 12 years of age, and was working as a labourer at a cycle repair shop.

“I was repairing a cycle one day and my maternal uncle came to me asking if I can fight in a bout. I agreed and ended up winning a local tournament. I received Rs 1,000 for it, and at that age too I thought, boxing can pay. Boxing can be another way to live.”[2]

Personal life[edit]

Nadir known as ‘Nadir Baloch’ was born on 6 March 1989, in the city of Lyari in Karachi, Pakistan. His Father Nabi Bux was a Labourer.

Professional career[edit]

Baloch made his professional debut on 23 March 2017 at the Ayub National Stadium in Quetta, Pakistan, scoring a second round knockout (KO) win over Juma Fundi to capture the UBO International super bantamweight title.[3][4]

Baloch was ready to defend his UBO International super bantamweight title on 24 September against experienced Filipino Ralph Jhon Lulu[5], but a week before the fight was meant to take place it was announced that the fight had been cancelled as the event sponsors decided not to go ahead with funding the event.

He next fought Asad Jutt on 30 November 2017 sat the Amir Khan Boxing Academy in Islamabad, winning the PPBF featherweight title via first round KO.[6]

On 14 January 2019, Baloch follows his career by signing for newly-formed Birmingham based sports management company HSA Management.
