Naeleck, is a French electro, house and fidget house producer who live in Tokyo, Japan. He wears a black cap with two big white eyes and a pointy-toothed smile while performing.

Biography[edit]

Naeleck is French but started his DJ career in Tokyo, Japan back in 2010.

He released a few remixes on Dexpistols’ record label - Roc Trax and then eventually released his first single, Agaru on Taku Takahashi's record label, TCY Recordings in early 2011. It featured remixes from Oddity, The Groove Shadows and Oddity. [1]

Also in 2011 he started a DJ residence on Japan's biggest dance music radio, Block.fm and Digitally Imported.[2]

In 2012, he created his own imprint, Den Haku Records and signed tracks and remixes from artists such as Carbon Kevlar, Tom Deluxx, Teo Moss, Janski Beeeats & Hoshina Anniversary.[3][4]

In the next year, 2013 Naeleck collaborated with Japanese producer Oddity and released a new single entitled Disease with remixes from KATFYR, Banvox and Carbon Kevlar. Picked up as the second best electro track of the month by DJ Mag (October), Disease was also playlisted by the biggest Japanese DJs and radio which lead Naeleck to be ranked 11th on LOUD Magazine's top 50 Japanese DJs - to which he was the only foreign artist.[5]

In 2014, Naeleck gained the support of Joachim Garraud and Djs from Mars with one of his most successful single to date, Violence with remixes from Teo Moss, DJ Vivid and the winner of a remix contest he organised, Socrasick & Paska. [6]

In 2015, Naeleck collaborated again with Oddity and release Danse Macabre with remixes from DJ Vivid, Kan Takahiko and Macrowave. [7]

Idiosyncrasies[edit]

Naeleck wears a black cap with two big white eyes and a pointy-toothed mouth while performing. The story behind this cap seems to explain his very dark music as he stated:

His persona seems to be pretty popular among the Tumblr EDM community where a lot of members draw fan arts of Naeleck, often associating him with other masked acts like The Bloody Beetroots and Danger. He also have his own stickers on Line.
