Nagarathar Sangam of North America, founded in 1976, is a non-profit organization that hosts the largest gathering of Nagarathars outside of India. The retreat in San Jose, California was the largest retreat and hosted 1,300 attendees from the United States as well as the UK, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.[1] As well as running a bi-annual retreat, the organization runs its own magazine titled NANAL.[2]
Retreat[edit]
The organization hosts a retreat every two years for Nagarathars to learn about their culture.[3] According to The Hindu, the purpose of the gathering is to celebrate Nagarathar culture.[1]
