After signing with Clive Davis's J Records, Rowe immediately began work on her debut album. Throughout 2005, Rowe worked with a various group of pop producers and writers to carefully craft her album, under the guidance of Clive Davis. Rowe chose to go against what was popular at the time and instead created an album based around her idols Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion. The result was an album that contained 90s era elements of both pop and R&B. The first single from the album "Typical Love Story" was released in July of 2006, peaking at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album followed on October 16, 2006, and went on to peak at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. After the release, Rowe received critical acclaim for her wide vocal range and abilities, some even dubbing her the "New Mariah Carey". "Got Each Other" was released as the second single off the album and went on peak at number 38 on the Billboard Hot 11 and moderately internationally.

To promote the album, Rowe made numerous television appearances, before embarking on a mini tour that visited the United States, Canada, and the UK. Rowe planned to begin work on her sophomore album in 2008, following the release of a 2007 Christmas ep, but due Clive Davis leaving to become CEO of Sony Music Entertainment and creative difference, Rowe decided to depart from the project.

2009-14: Songwriting and fashion design[edit]

Following Rowe's departure from her second project, she remained behind the scenes of the music industry, becoming a popular songwriter for many pop artist, including Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Ariana Grande, and Jordin Sparks. During this time Rowe also planned on beginning work on her second album again. In 2010, following her college graduation, Rowe began publicly designing jewelry pieces for celebrities and the general public. The jewelry and designs were well received and pulled in moderate attention.

2015-present: Musical Comeback[edit]

In December of 2015, Rowe announced that she had resigned with Clive Davis, under the RCA Records label and would officially begin work on her sophomore album. On December, her first single in over eight years was released titled "My Lips". An EP is planned for a January release, with her sophomore album following in late 2016.
