Makhmutov Nail Mazitovich (born 3 December 1963, Sterlibashevo village, Sterlibashevsky District, Bashkortostan) – local historian, publisher of the series of books about compatriots – natives of Bashkortostan, member of the economic commission of Republican Committee of Russian chemical trade union, secretary of the primary unit «Zavodskoye» of the political party «United Russia», PhD in economics.

Makhmutov Nail Mazitovich was born on 3 December in Sterlibashevo village in Sterlibashevsky District in Bashkirskaya ASSR. Makhmutov Nail Mazitovich graduated from a law faculty of Bashkir State University in 1989, graduated from All Union Distance-Learning Finance and Economics Institute in 2000. In 2007 he defended a PhD thesis themed «Substantiation of the investment program of creation, production and exploitation of new transport machines: through the example of air transport». In 2013 he got the qualification of an engineer-mechanic in Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. Nail Mazitovich works for one of petroleum refining plants of Ufa. He goes in for publishing books. He learns bits and pieces and then presents half-forgotten facts from the past for readers’ judgment.[1] Besides he is a benefactor, one of the examples of his benefit activity is a sports ground for children built in Sterlibashevo village.[2]

Makhmutov Nail Mazitovich published the first miscellany «Beloved school – we are your children». He collected photos, biographies of teachers and classmates, school leavers’ memories about dear school.

The second book «Intermovement in Bashkortostan» was written about student construction brigades of the 1980s. The book is composed of interviews of ex-student construction brigade members – successful leaders. Director of Republican institute of oil and petrochemical refining Elshad Telyashev, Rail Asadullin and Valentin Pavlov, rectors of Teachers training and Medical universities, Milana Skorobogatova, children's rights ombudsman in Bashkortostan, Marat Gazizov, deputy director of regional Agency for press and mass media. The book quickly won popular affections.[3]

In 2012 the author, student construction brigade member in the past, interviewed 100 ex-student construction brigade members and published the next book «And student construction brigades …. are marching further».[4] Now the history of student construction brigades’ movement is described more complete, with all the details and specialities. And articles, illuminated with photos, let us see the history of student construction brigade's persons.[5]

In 2015 in a regular book «In the footsteps of legends of Ufa rock-n-roll. Yuri Shevchuk and «DDT» there considered the events of 60-80s in Ufa, when a lot of rock groups appeared but had to keep an «underground way of life». Just in that period of time the entire school of rock-n-roll came into being. Yury Shevchuck was one of its representatives.[6][7] The book presents memories, interviews of many Ufa musicians, who Yury Shevchuck communicated and created with at those years[8][9]..

On 16 March in 2016 in the Palace of Youth there was a meeting of members of the republican art songs club «White Crow» where the first republican prize «Strings of soul» was given over.[citation needed]

The awarding was held within the presentation of Nail Makhmutov's book «To sing only that that was lived through» about the traditions of art song in Bashkortostan[10].. «The author and mastermind of the book «To sing only that that was lived through» is Nail Makhmutov»,- Director of Republican institute of oil and petrochemical refining and art song club's leader Elshad Telyashev says,- Nail finds forces, time and money for all this activity. At the end of the meeting all guests and spectators were presented by Nail Makhmutov's book «To sing only that that was lived through». There are Nail Makhmutov's books in Yury Shevchuk's library and Mayor of Ufa city's Irek Yalalov's one as well.[11] Many chapters of his books are included into the encyclopedia «Bashkir komsomol».

Nail Mazitovich has already published 11 books and he is not going to stop on the achieved, he is planning to publish a book about artists of Bashkortostan and to promote the internet site «Favorite artists of Bashkortostan».[12] Artists themselves encouraged the action on popularization of art school by-passing official exhibitions of Ministry of Culture and artistic unions, - the site «United Russia. Republic of Bashkortostan» notices.[13][14]
