Naomi Esi Arku Amoah
Naomi Esi Arku Amoah (born 1976) is a Ghanaian evangelist and founder of a children's orphanage, Royal Seed Home, in Kasoa, Central Region.[1][2] The home provides food, shelter and education for the needy and homeless.[3]
Life[edit]
Amoah initially planned to teach hairdressing and dressmaking to young people, however she found that the majority of her students were orphans without any income. In January 2002 she adopted four of her students and they moved into a two-room building. Amoah named it Royal Seed Home and began to seek donations from local businesses and charities to support the expansion of the home.[4] In 2015, Obaapa Christy, a popular Ghanian gospel singer, visited the home and donated goods and funds.[5] By 2018, more than 190 orphans were living in the home.[6]
Recognition[edit]
In 2018, Amoah won the MTN Heroes of Change challenge to help support her charity.[7]
