Yonunawo Kwami Edze (death 1963) was a Ghanaian who introduced the knowledge of baking Ayigbe Biscuit to the people of Agbozome.[1]

History[edit]

Yonunawo Kwami Edze went to the Ivory Cost in 1907 and returned back to the Agbozome with the knowledge of baking Ayigbe Biscuit. Victoria Adzo Adawu was among the first ladies to learn the skill of baking the starch biscuite from Madam Yonunawo Kwami Edze. Victoria Adzo Adawu also trained and transferred the skills to other who were interested in the trade and now the biscuit is sold and eaten not only in Agbozome but in all parts of Ghana.[2][3]
