Naomi was born on February 11, 1979. When we are first introduced to her, she is dating Raye Penber and they are planning their marriage. However, when Raye dies, Naomi is suspicious of how he met him. Naomi searches through Raye’s FBI files and finds out that Raye was following Light Yagami when he died. So, Naomi starts driving to L's headquarters. However, on her way there, she takes in a hitchhiker. She lets him in, but then he reveals himself to be Light Yagami and strangles her to death. He later hangs her body in an alleyway, making it appear like she has committed suicide.
