Elyanara Almeida Fetiosa Bonfim (September 9, 1993 – May 21, 2018) was a Brazilian model and a internet celebritiy. She was known for her Instagram posts.
Early Life[edit]
Almeida was born in João Lisboa, to a homeworking person, who was unable to take care of her, as she was left with her maternal grandparents. Nara has also worked as a maid in her teen years, where she decided to move to Goîania, to finish her studies at her high school.
Career[edit]
She launched her own fashion brand in 2014, named Atelie da Nara, in Imperatiz, Brazil. She has spend three years to sell clothes through internet. In 2016, she moved to São Paulo to purpose a modeling career.
Illness & Death[edit]
In March 2017, she suffered from a pain in her stomach and started vomiting when she ate anything. Without a health plan, she paid for a medical consultation alone. In August 2017, she was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer, and she had three chemoterapy sessions, each of them lasting four hours. She has started to share her illness in social media.
On May 21, 2018, Nara Almeida passed away on Nove de Julho Hospital, in São Paulo, losing a battle to Stomach Cancer after battling only 10 months. The news was released by her husband, Pedro Rocha, on Instagram.
