Nase Lino Sumpinanch Tiriats[2] (Born in Huasaga, February 14, 2000) is an Ecuadorian film producer and writer of the Achuar ethnicity, known for directing documentaries that explore the culture and traditions of indigenous peoples and nationalities.[3][4]
Early life
Nase was born in Huasaga, Morona Santiago, in the eastern region of Ecuador, a community of around 2,000 inhabitants.[5] At the age of three, he moved to Puyo and began learning Spanish as a second language, as his native language is Achuar Chicham. From a young age, he showed an interest in different forms of art, including music and graphic design. During his time in school, he became involved in urban rap and established a record label that is well-known in the Amazon.
Although successful in his creative endeavors, Nase also went through a personal crisis in adolescence, which led him to adopt destructive behaviors. It was at that time that he found comfort in his Christian faith, which helped him straighten out his life and write books and give talks about his experience in educational institutions.[6]
