Nasim Miah (born 12 August 1998), popularly known as Muddassir Nasim, is a Bangladeshi-Malaysian web developer, digital strategist, and open-source enthusiast. He is a WordPress core contributor, plugin developer, theme developer and community organizer who was awarded the prestigious Yoast Care Fund in 2025 for his contributions to the global WordPress community.
Early life and education
Nasim Miah was born in Shahbazpur, Sarail Upazila, Brahmanbaria District, in the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh. He completed his SSC in 2015 from Shahbazpur M/L High School and HSC in 2017 from Kazi Muhammad Shafiqul Islam College. He later earned a Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.) from Brahmanbaria Government College.
Career
Nasim began his professional journey working with international web agencies and design studios, including:

- Ten-GB Pty Ltd (Australia)
He has built over 1,000 websites for clients globally and leads a creative team based in Bangladesh, offering complete branding solutions for startups and SMEs.
WordPress and open source contributions
Nasim is a core contributor to WordPress and actively participates in community development. He has developed several plugins for the WordPress Plugin Directory and regularly contributes to translations, community support, and documentation.
He is a founding organizing member of WordCamp Johor Bahru 2025, contributes to local meetups, and is a frequent speaker and volunteer at WordPress events.
Awards
On 4 July 2025, Nasim was selected as a recipient of the Yoast Care Fund, recognizing his dedication and service to the WordPress open-source community. He is one of 13 Bangladeshis to receive the award.[1]
