Nathan G. Gold (born June 12, 1980) is a former minor league first baseman and back-up third baseman for the Texas Rangers organization.
Early childhood[edit]
Gold was born on June 12, 1980 in Bountiful, Utah. He attended Viewmont High School located in Bountiful.
College[edit]
Gold attended both Gonzaga University and Treasure Valley Community College. He only played baseball at Gonzaga, for two years. While there he posted a .298 batting avg, hit 43 homers and drove in 124 RBIs. As a senior at Gonzaga he led the nation with 33 home runs.[1]
Professional and minor league career[edit]
Gold was drafted in the 10th round of the 2002 MLB Draft, picked 292nd overall. Gold played for the La New Bears in 2009[2] before retiring on August 18, 2009.
