Nathan G. Gold (born June 12, 1980) is a former minor league first baseman and back-up third baseman for the Texas Rangers organization.
Early childhood
Gold was born on June 12, 1980, in Bountiful, Utah. He attended Viewmont High School located in Bountiful.
College
Gold attended both Gonzaga University and Treasure Valley Community College. He only played baseball at Gonzaga, for two years. While there, he posted a .298 batting average, hit 43 homers, and drove in 124 RBIs. As a senior at Gonzaga, he led the nation with 33 home runs.[1]
Professional and minor league career
Gold was drafted in the 10th round of the 2002 MLB Draft, picked 292nd overall. Gold played for the La New Bears in 2009[2] before retiring on August 18, 2009.
