The National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA), formerly known as National Inspectorate Board, is a government agency under the Ministry of Education, in Ghana. It provides an independent external evaluation of the quality and standards of basic and second-cycle educational institutions in Ghana on a periodic basis.

It undertakes school inspection, evaluation and enforces educational standards in both public and private Pre-Tertiary Educational Institutions.:[1]

The authority, which was formerly known as National Inspectorate Board, was established by the Education Act 778 in 2008 with its governing board inaugurated in 2021 by the Minister for Education, Yaw Adutwum.[2]

Inspector-General of Schools[edit]

In 2019, Dr Hilda was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo to head the National Inspectorate Board, under Ghana's Ministry of Education.
