National Technical Schools
National Technical Schools was founded by Vrena Bender Rosenkrantz[1] in 1905, as National School of Engineering,[2] at 4000 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California.[3][4][5][6][7] National School of Engineering, at least until 1916,[8][9] by 1922[10] renamed National Auto School.[11] then National Schools.[5][6][7][8][12][9]
A branch campus was opened in Mexico City, because the Spanish language courses were so popular.[13][1]
In the 1930s, Sam Rosencranz operated National Auto School[14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21]
In the 1950s, there was an office in Chicago, Illinois. Around 1970 the school was renamed National Technical Schools. In 1985, National Technical Schools was sold to United Education & Software, an Encino-based trade school operator, and went bankrupt in 1989.[22] In 1998, the building was torn down.
