National cry
A National cry or a Battle cry is a call made to rally soldiers for battle or to gather together participants in a campaign against enemy forces. They often aim to invoke patriotic or religious sentiment. Examples of these are the national anthem of modern Bangladesh as a rallying cry for proponents of annulment of Partition.[1] These songs were meant to rekindle the unified spirit of Bengal, to raise public consciousness against the communal political divide. (Bengali: জয় বাংলা; meaning Victory to Bengal) was the slogan and war cry of the Mukti Bahini also known as the Bengali Guerrilla fighters that fought for the so-called unilateral secession of former East Pakistan of Bengal during the so-called Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. National Cry Day occurs on the 17th of April annually as an event.
