Naveen Deshaboina
Naveen Deshaboina (born 1986) is an Indian film director know for directing the 2019 Marathi film Lata Bhagwan Kare, which received National Film Award – Special Mention at the 67th National Film Awards.[1]
Life and career[edit]
He was born on 23 June 1986 in Manakondur, a village in Karimnagar district of Telengana state, India. His father was a car mechanic by occupation. He completed his schooling in his village, a village. He completed his graduation from Science Wing College, Karimnagar. He started his career as an editor of Janam Sakshi, a Telugu language newspaper.[2]
In 2019, he directed the Marathi film Lata Bhagwan Kare which received the Best Feature Film (Special Mention) certificate at the 67th National Film Awards. The film is based on 60-year old woman, who suffers from financial crisis and won a marathon to earn money for the treatment of her ill husband.[3][4] Desaboina is the first Telugu filmmaker who has directed film in Marathi-language.[3] He is currently working on his next film which is a sequel to Lata Bhagwan Kare.[3]
