Band Career:
Navid Imtiaz Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi musician, guitarist, music producer and guitar pedal maker. It all started when he was in school and picked up his first guitar. In school, he formed a band with his fellow classmates in 2006, which did not work out well. Later, in 2009, he formed Sin of Carnage[2], a heavy metal band along with his childhood buddies. From 2011 to 2015, he played guitar with bands like Nihilist, Afterm@th[3], and Defy[4] and has also played session guitar with mainstream artist Minar Rahman.
Sin of Carnage is the main act of his musical career. The band quickly gained traction after its formation. However, it took some time to stabilize the lineup. After the lineup was steady, the band released their first single, Onno Alor gaan, in the band mixed album Rockoholic by Aajob Records [5] in 2013. In 2015, the band released their second single, Tontrer Kritodas[6] in the country's top band mixed album, Rock 808, 909 XOX (a triple disk band mixed album) coordinated by Iqbal Asif Jewel. The album contains bands like Black, Mechanix, Avoid Rafa, Karnival, X-Factor, Arbovirus, Kral, etc. Both singles were recorded and mixed by Navid Imtiaz Chowdhury in Studio O2. In 2016, due to members’ personal obligations, the band temporarily paused its activities. However, in 2020, during the pandemic, the band resumed and released their first EP, Vebe Na Vebe[7][8] digitally.
Instrumental Career:
Along with the band activity, he is very active in the instrumental scene in Bangladesh. He released his first instrumental single, Autumn[9] in 2019 and O Bhai Uber Pathao in 2020. He is currently working on his solo instrumental album. Moreover, he is known to be a collaboration artist. He has already collaborated with musicians from the United States of America, Colombia, classical instrumental players from India, and many local musicians. The act of collaboration is known as “Shred War”.
Daddy’s Pedal:
The name Daddy came from his inception of producing handmade boutique guitar pedals in Bangladesh. He started a boutique guitar pedal manufacturing company named “Daddy’s Pedal” in 2014. Daddy’s Pedal is the first guitar boutique manufacturing pedal in Bangladesh, which rapidly gained popularity among local musicians and received huge appreciation. In 2019, Daddy’s Pedal collaborated with 20 guitar players of Bangladesh, residing from all over the world, and released the Biggest Guitar Collaboration from Bangladesh.
