Navid Jamshidi (Persian: نوید جمشیدی) is Iranian journalism[1][2], member of Tehran Province Association of Iranian Journalists.[3][4], political analyst[5][6] and editor-in-chief of Asia News.[7][8][9]
Carrer
He was born in Tehran. In 2001 with his father founded the Asia News,[10][11][12] and during his two decades as a journalist[13], he was repeatedly threatened many times.[14][15][16] In 2018, he interviewed Mohammad Nourizad, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps arrested him in connection with his interview has been summoned and tried at least four times by government officials.[17][18][19][20][21][22] Jamshidi arrested for fifth time on 25 Sep 2022 and was transferred to Evin prison during demonstrations in Iran[23][24][25][26][27] He released from prison on bail.[28][29] He was sentenced to 10 months in jail and was also banned from using social media for 2 years.[30][31]
