Sgt Nazaruddin bin Mohd Zain[1] was a former malaysian police officer and former member of Special Actions Unit.

Early life[edit]
Nazaruddin bin Mohd Zain was born on 22 September 1946 in Kuala Kangsar, Perak.
Police career[edit]
Nazaruddin joined the Police Force on 1 June 1965 as Police Constable and undergoing basic police training at Police Training Center, Semarak Road, Kuala Lumpur. After complete training, he assigned to Traffic Branch at Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Police Headquarters. On 18 December 1978, he was transferred to Special Actions Unit, elite counter terrorist unit. He was promoted to Police Corporal on 1 January 1980 and Police Sergeant on 1 May 1985. He also participated rescue hostages at Pudu Jail.
His last position in police force was Assistant Investigate Officer at Traffic Branch of Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Police Headquarters. He was retired by his own choice at 1 February 1996.
