Neoni is an American Alternative Rock and pop band from Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in 2013, the band is composed of sisters Caitlin Powell and Sidney Powell. After releasing 25 singles in 2020, their music has received millions of streams and views monthly across streaming platforms and social media.

Background[edit]

The band, originally formed in Denver, Colorado under a different moniker, began busking on street corners and performing in coffee shops around Colorado during 2013.[1]. The sisters eventually toured around the American West while honing their songwriting and recording abilities. In 2018, they relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to focus on music creation and building a presence online. The band officially changed their name to Neoni in May 2019.

Commercial Success[edit]

Their music has been featured in sports (including placements in the UFC, NFL, NFL, Fox Sports, UFC, ESPN, NASCAR, and the ACC), in television shows (Including How to Get Away with Murder, Marvel's Cloak and Dagger, The Titan Games, Charmed, and the final episode of Supernatural[2]), and in episode promotions (Including BBC’s A Perfect Planet, Amazon Prime Video, and HBO Nordic).

Their rendition of Carry On Wayward Son Charted at #6 on Billboard’s Top TV Songs Chart in November of 2020[3] following its placement in the final episode of Supernatural and they appeared in Billboard magazine, The Hollywood Reporter[3] and TV Guide[4] regarding the placement.

They appeared in Forbes Magazine alongside Zayde Wølf for the release of their collaboration ‘Oblivion’ in September 2019 [5]. They've appeared in articles from publications EDM.com, This Song Is Sick, Earmilk, Your EDM, [6] Acid Stag[7] and Dancing Astronaut[8] alongside electronic music producers and collaborators Besomorph, Rival, Egzod, smle and UNDREAM, and appeared in Hertz Magazine regarding the release of their single ‘DARKSIDE’.[9] Their song ‘Conquer’ was the official theme for the Esports tournament, IEM Katowice 2020,[10] presented by the Intel Extreme Masters.

Labels[edit]

Neoni has also partnered with independent record labels including Cloudkid,[11] NoCopyrightSounds, Future Generation, Nightblue Music, Enter Records, and Magic Records. After accumulating over 100 million streams across social media and digital streaming platforms such as Spotify,[12] Neoni will be released their debut EP in August 2021, and is releasing a second EP in October 2022.
