Nepal Clearing House Ltd. is the largest payments infrastructure provider in Nepal.[1] Established on 13 December 2008, the organization is owned by Nepal Rastra Bank, and a majority of the banks & financial institutions in the country.[2] Nepal Clearing House Ltd. is the operator of NCHL-ECC (Electronic Cheque Clearing), an image-based, MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) cheque processing & settlement solution.[citation needed]
