"Nero" is an industrial metal song by the band Godflesh from their 2023 album Purge.[1][2] It released ahead of Purge on 3 April 2023 through frontman Justin Broadrick's own label, Avalanche Recordings, alongside a North American tour announcement.[3][4] "Nero" originally appeared on the EP of the same name alongside three in-house remixes which will appear on the Japanese CD release of Purge and eventually in New Flesh in Dub Vol 2, which is planned for release in mid-2024.[5] According to Broadrick, "Nero" is "a symbol and reminder of irresponsible self-destruction as being practiced always, now and forever."[6][7]
