Background
New Sign is the sixth studio single by Lordmoon and the seventh single is coming in hot just 2 days after its release, seems that the singer is on the fast track with his musical career.
The story of the song is as hilarious as it gets. Christian (The singer) approaches his dream girl and tried to ask her out on a date and probably starting a serious relationship after that, but she bluntly refuses and gives the young singer the option for a one night stand saying that she's not ready to be committed to a relationship.
They go back and forth on the topic till Lordmoon finally accepts her proposal and they go on her choice of a one night stand rather than starting something beautiful together.
Composition
New Sign, also known as the Hookup anthem, is lyrically good and the instruments compliment the native sounds of Nigerian afrobeats.
At the beginning of the song we can hear some percussion and a bouncy drum pattern accompanied by a bass guitar, a piano, shakers and a synth pad.
Towards the first verse we can hear a drum loop and then the magical voice of the singer with a great intro which says "I'll catch you, I'll catch you".
The chorus is a bit explicit saying that a hookup girl is about 5 kilometers away from him and not to talk about the ending chorus with some familiar sounds from various adult sites.
The song is great and beautifully produced even when the whole process was done in the Android studio of Bandlab, produced and licensed by SWEETSOUNDS Ent and lyrics written by Uchenna Christian Orji.
