New Textbooks for the "New" Mathematics is a paper written by Richard Feynman in 1965 in response to the New Math.[1]

The year before the article was written, Feynman was member of the California State Curriculum Commission, selecting mathematical textbooks for use in a modified arithmetic course for Grades 1 to 8 in California's elementary schools.[2]
