The New York Poetry Forum (NYPF) is a non-profit state-level poetry association in the U.S. state of New York. The organization, which is affiliated with the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS), [1] promotes poetry, conducts an annual contest cycle, publishes poetry books and organizes periodic meetings, workshops and festivals.
History and activities[edit]
The New York Poetry Forum has been in existence since the 1970s,[2] and James DeMartini serves as the current President. The organization holds events including meetings, festivals, workshops and readings in the New York City area.[3] The society supports the National Society of State Poetry Societies and publishes poetry anthologies showcasing members' poetry.
