The New York Poetry Forum (NYPF) is a non-profit state-level poetry association in the U.S. state of New York. The organization, which is affiliated with the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS), [1] promotes poetry, conducts an annual contest cycle, publishes poetry books and organizes periodic meetings, workshops and festivals.
History and activities
The New York Poetry Forum has been in existence since the 1970s,[2] and James DeMartini serves as the current President. The organization holds events including meetings, festivals, workshops and readings in the New York City area.[3] The society supports the National Society of State Poetry Societies and publishes poetry anthologies showcasing members’ poetry.
