History[edit]
Nexustorage Limited was founded in Kapiti, Wellington, New Zealand, in February 2021 [2] by Glen Olsen, previously a product manager at Object Storage developer Caringo before it was acquired by Datacore [3]. The company's objective was to create a scalable software-defined storage solution that combined block, file and object storage into a single pool of cost-effective storage [4]
In 2021, the company released a public preview of its Nexfs product [1]
In 2022, the company released the first generally available version of its Nexfs product [1]
Products/technology[edit]
Nexustorage develops storage software to help manage the lifecycle of vast amounts of data.
- Nexfs – The Nexfs file system combines block, file and object storage into a single pool of storage. Nexfs then manages the data lifecycle, moving aged data to the most cost-effective storage, such as cloud storage, while ensuring the data remains transparently accessible to all users and systems [5]
